I dont think their lack of stage presence is an unpopular opinion, but I think me ranking them below even f(X) would count as unpopular since I know many people don't like f(x) music (and it seems like a lot of people have just forgotten or moved on from them). Also Red Velvet is one of the most popular GG's right now.

I love all of Red Velvet’s title tracks (except Zimzalbim) and Seulgi has been one of my top girl biases (she’s probably my #1) since I got into kpop in 2015, but there’s something about Red Velvet that does not stick with me.

f(x) is my favorite SM gg and my favorite gg ever! A lot of people don’t like their sound but honestly, it was very creative to me. I saw someone on Reddit saying it’s not actually experimental it’s just overrated, but their early EPs and Pinnochio were very different to me and had a lot of music that sounded almost like a girl rock band. In general, they have a lot of ~ EDM / dance music I guess. Four Walls (song) is pop perfection. Girls Generation is not my favorite SM gg, but I’ve seen their performances and they’re amazing. I can’t deny how impactful they were! RBB was an amazing mini-album, and The Red and Perfect Velvet were really good albums. But a lot of their EPs don’t do much for me besides the title tracks. I realized it is probably their stage presence (mixed with some uninteresting b-sides). Of course, Seulgi has stage presence and the girls are loveable but as a group, they're not very interesting. But then there's Red Velvet. I was watching their Redmare concert today because I’ve been listening to Psycho and Seulgi & Irene subunit a lot and I saw it on youtube. But when I watched it I just felt bored and thought of how much more I’ve enjoyed SM’s other artist's concerts! I decided to not even finish it. I wouldn't say I only listen to Red Velvets title tracks — which would make the concert boring. 

EDIT 🚨tldr; I mean this in terms of “stage presence”/ charisma and discography. I don’t mean talent and vocal ability, they obviously have a strong vocal line. But if you wanna disagree with that too feel free 🚨
