“Life Goes On” serves as a title track for BTS' BE album and was announced by BigHit Entertainment via their official SNS and Weverse accounts on October 30, 2020.
The story behind the song begins from BTS declaring that “even in the face of this new normality, our life goes on and imparts a message of healing to fans and to the world.”
The theme “life goes on” was mentioned several times while BTS shared the process behind the album through vlogs over the months.
“Life goes on, let’s live on” was also the main message of their speech at the 75th UN General Assembly, given just a few months before the song release. The group appeared there as they’ve worked previously with UNICEF on the “LOVE MYSELF” campaign, this time giving the message of “let’s live on in a new world, breaking free from despair and supporting one another in warm solidarity.”
The live debut stage will take place during the American Music Awards on November 22, 2020.
Recently Big Hit Entertainment’s Twitter page released the producing and writing credits for BTS’s new lead track Life Goes from their upcoming BE album. First off, the main producer is Pdogg so we’re already off to an amazing start lol. Pdogg produces nothing but quality bops. He’s a legend lol. And credited lyricists include Pdogg, RM, Suga, J-Hope, Ruuth, Chris James, and Antonina Armato. We already know rap line are great lyricists, but Antonina Armato in particular has helped co-write SO MANY hits in the past!! They include but aren’t limited to 7 Things and Fly on The Wall by Miley Cyrus, Potential Breakup Song by Aly and AJ, and Bet On It from High School Musical 2 lol. Like her track record is amazing. She’s also helped co-write other BTS songs like ON and WAB: the Eternal.
They gave the world, “Dynamite” to cheer everyone up in the face of adversity. With “Life Goes On” they are asking the world to reflect and say that even in the face of adversity, we must move on because life and time will keep going and we cannot be at a standstill.
Big Hit is going to do the producing/ writing credits for the rest of the songs on the album counting down the days until the album release which is cool because I don’t think they’ve ever done this before?? I could be wrong though. Anyways I’m just really excited for it! Only 1 more week
First it was Allie X for Louder than Bombs .....now this.
I have no idea who at BH or which BTS member chooses or decides who they are going to work with(other than their usual in house team and frequently seen people like Arcades and Hiss Noise) for their songs .....but damn till now ...they have chosen some great songwriters and producers who have a great track record.
I for once didn't have any idea that the audio engineer for Dynamite is Max Martin.
Pdogg always kills it with their title tracks. He is present as their main producer on every one of them.(except Fake Love cause Bang PD produced it.)
Bet on it is a bop, wbk, but Antonina already worked with BTS too she's credited in On, WABP: The Eternal and Zero O'clock, good songs too. And yeah seeing Pdogg as producer and the rap line credited as lyricists make me excited too, I have good expectations for the song
