EXO is a nine-member idol boy group from SM Entertainment.
The name EXO is inspired by the 'exoplanet', which refers to the outer planets of the solar system and means 'new star from the unknown'. Originally, on March 31 and April 1, 2012, the debut showcase was held in Seoul and Beijing, respectively, and debuted in a group of 12 with six EXO-K and six EXO-M members, but the three Chinese members of EXO-M were removed in a row.
